Lyon is one of the sisters behind Pizzelle’s Confections. This small operation specializes in chocolates, candies and other sweet treats.

Dr. Mark Whorton

Intrapreneur of the Year

Whorton is the chief technologist at Teledyne Brown Engineering. He served as the principal investigator of the Multiple User System for Earth Sensing (MUSES), which is a high-tech camera mount companies can use for Earth observation via the International Space Station.

Hillary Dunham

People’s Choice

Dunham is the owner of the Mint Julep Market on Memorial Parkway in Huntsville. She also is behind Mint Julep Monograms, which provides personalized gifts for customers.

Laura Huckabee-Jennings

WBC Entrepreneur of the Year

Huckabee-Jennings is the executive leadership coach and strategist for Transcend. Transcend is a consulting company which provides services to many local businesses and organizations including Aviagen, Intergraph and Huntsville Utilities.

 

Tommy Battle

Entrepreneur Champion of the Year

Battle is the Mayor of the City of Huntsville.
